The Sonora Union High School District is looking for input from parents, teachers, and community members regarding the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). All stakeholder of the school are encouraged to provide input to the school district through a community survey.
As part of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), school districts are required to develop, adopt, and annually update a three-year LCAP aligned to the eight state priorities in Education Code (EC) 52060(d). All responses will be anonymous.
Participation in the survey will assist us in developing an LCAP that will support all students and improve the services we provide.
Participation in the survey is should be completed by May 1, 2014.
During the months of March, April and May Sonora High School is conducting a “Dirty Car Contest” to discourage students and staff from ashing their vehicles to save water during our state’s water crisis. Sponsored by Day-O Espresso and Smoothies, each week a dirty car will be selected for recognition. One water-conscious winner will be selected each week.
To be eligible to win you must:
1. Be a staff member or student of SUHSD.
2. Have a dirty car.
3. Be parked legally with a SUHSD parking pass. (Parking Passes are available for free in the back office)
One winner will be awarded each Friday with a $5 Day-O gift card. Participation is encouraged by all. Thanks for helping us conserve water in Tuolumne County!
Participation in this event may result in a dramatic reduction of water consumption, though your car will be filthy. Participation is voluntary but extremely appreciated. Thanks for doing your part to help Tuolumne County save water!
