Mr. Chabot is a 22 year veteran of Sonora High School. He taught Mathematics for 14 years and has been an administrator for 8 years. He has a Bachelor of Science in Packaging Engineering from Michigan State University, and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is married to his college sweetheart and has three daughters, all graduates of Sonora High School. Prior to teaching, he was a Packaging Engineer at Northrop Aircraft for 12 years.
Kathy Ankrom was born in Winnipeg Canada and has a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Manitoba. She is a registered nurse and has been very active as a volunteer in local schools. Kathy and husband Dr. Douglas Ankrom have four daughters, three of whom have graduated from Sonora High School. When Kathy is not working on district business or volunteering in the community, she enjoys cycling, traveling, scuba diving, theater and reading.
Jeff was born in San Francisco, CA and raised in the Central /Northern CA area. Married for 27 years and a resident of Tuolumne County since 1998 he and his wife have owned and operated the Togo’s in “The Junction” for 12 years. Jeff also serves as the VP of Business Development for a nationwide transportation company as his primary occupation. He spent 7 years as a board member for “High Country Sports Arena” a non- profit youth oriented sports facility in Sonora and coached many years of soccer. He has four kids, three of which attended and graduated Sonora High School and one that is currently still attending.
Dr. Rob Lyons was born in upstate New York, small town in the small town of Brewster. He is a proud graduate of the University of Florida with both a Bachelor of Science and an M.D. Rob trained at Oakland’s county hospital and is board certified in emergency medicine. He has been practicing at Sonora Regional Medical Center for over 30 years and continues to serve on the hospital’s Governing Board.
Rob has been involved with fund-raising for the Sierra Waldorf School, Tuolumne County youth soccer teams, and the Sonora High Water Polo Program. He has been married for 20 years to Shari and they have four children. Two currently attend Sonora High School. Rob enjoys music, film, literature, racquetball, swimming, snow-skiing, snow-shoeing, and “doing anything and everything with my kids.”
Jeanie Smith was the 2012 ACSA “High School Board member of the Year” for Region 7 that encompasses five counties and more than 50 school districts. She is originally from Stockton California and has a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University. Jeanie has 20 years of experience as a board trustee and school board president for the Sonora Elementary School District and for the Sonora Union High School District. She is very active in the Tuolumne County region serving as the chair for the American Cancer Society Leadership Council and president of the Sonora High School Foundation. Jeanie volunteers her time as a music director for her church and with local theater groups. She is a great role model for students with her commitment to fitness through swimming and cycling. The wife of Don and mother of four sons (all achieved Eagle Scout!), she is now thrilled with six grandchildren.
Kimberly Norton was born in the San Francisco Bay Area. She moved to Tuolumne County in 2006 with her two beautiful children. She was a parent volunteer at Columbia Elementary for many years. Her daughter currently attends Columbia Elementary, while her son attends Sonora High School. She published her first novel “The Crystal Princess” in 2011. Her licenses included California State Board of Cosmetology and California Bureau of Real Estate.
